Dress Code

A dress code exists as part of the discipline of dance, but also more importantly to allow instructors to see and assess each dancer’s alignment, body lines, and use of the knees and ankles in order to teach safe, proper placement. Lack of accessories and additional layers also encourages a positive body image by exposure and acceptance of all body types and discourages students from feeling like they have to cover up. Uniformity also allows students to feel more confidence and focus on their dancing.
