Dress Code:


* Creative Movement - Black leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes.

* Kreative Kids – Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, and black patent leather tap shoes. Ballet skirts may be worn.

* Levels 1 and 2 – Any solid color leotard, pink tights for ballet, tan tights for jazz, pink split sole ballet shoes, black tie split sole jazz shoes, and black tie tap shoes (1/2 shank). Jazz pants/capri's may be worn for jazz.

* Levels 3, 4, and Adults - Any solid color leotard; pink tights for ballet; tan tights for jazz; pink split sole ballet shoes; black slip-on split sole shoes, dance sneakers, or Grecian sandals for jazz; and black tie tap shoes (1/2 shank). Jazz pants/capri's may be worn for jazz.

* Hip Hop, Ballroom, and Zumba Fitness – Any street clothing that allows flexible movement (no jeans). Sneakers or jazz shoes may be worn. For Ballroom, avoid wearing slip-on shoes, shoes with heavy tread, heels above 3 inches, and stiletto heels.

**Boys - White t-shirt, black straight leg jazz pants, black ballet shoes, and black tie tap shoes (full shank for Kreative Kids, 1/2 shank for all other levels).

**Notes:

* Students may be required to purchase other shoes based on a particular performance dance.

* Hair must be pulled off of face and neck for all classes. It must be worn in a bun for ballet.

* No Jewelry

Weather:


* If Baltimore County Schools close for inclement weather, all classes will be cancelled. If there are any doubts, please call the studio for a recorded message.

Tuition Policies:


* There is an annual registration fee of $25 for new students and $20 for returning students. This fee is non-refundable and will ensure the student’s space in class.

* Registration fees do not apply to single class drop-ins, summer sessions, summer camps, Ballroom classes, or Zumba class cards.

* Tuition for core classes is based on a yearly rate and is broken down monthly for your convenience. Therefore, full tuition is due the first class of each month from September through May.

* There is a $12 rehearsal fee per student, per class that is due and payable prior to the 1st rehearsal. These fees must be paid in order for the student to perform.

* Adults who wish to drop-in more than two times per class, per month will be asked to pay the monthly tuition for that class.

* A 10% discount is offered for the 2nd and 3rd student within an immediate family. Ballroom and Zumba Fitness classes are excluded.

* Make checks payable to "A Step Ahead Dance Center." A $25 charge is placed on all returned checks.

* If an account is 2 months delinquent in tuition, the student will not be allowed to take class until the account is paid in full.

* No refunds are given for early withdrawal or absences. Make-up classes are recommended and should be arranged with the appropriate instructors.

* Note: If a student misses 3 classes, they must arrange to take a private lesson with the instructor in order to keep up with the class.
