Dress Code:
* Creative Movement - Black leotard, pink tights, and pink
ballet shoes.
* Kreative Kids – Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, and black patent leather tap shoes. Ballet skirts may be worn.
* Levels 1 and 2 – Any solid color leotard, pink tights for ballet, pink or tan tights for jazz, pink split sole ballet shoes, black tie split sole jazz shoes, and black tie tap shoes (1/2 shank). Jazz pants/capri's may be worn for jazz.
* Levels 3, 4, and Adults - Any solid color leotard; pink tights for ballet; pink or tan tights for jazz; pink split sole ballet shoes; black slip-on split sole shoes, dance sneakers, or Grecian sandals for jazz; and black tie tap shoes (1/2 shank). Jazz pants/capri's may be worn for jazz.
* Hip Hop and Zumba Fitness – Any street clothing that allows flexible movement (no jeans). Sneakers or jazz shoes may be worn.
**Boys - White t-shirt, black straight leg jazz pants, black bike shorts or boys black tights, black ballet shoes, and black tie tap shoes (full shank for Kreative Kids, 1/2 shank for all other levels).
**Notes:
* Students may be required to purchase other shoes based on a particular performance dance.
* Hair must be pulled off of face and neck for all classes. It must be
worn in a bun for ballet.

Weather:
* If Baltimore County Schools close for inclement weather,
all classes will be cancelled. If in doubt, please call the studio for
a recorded message. Please also register with www.rainedout.com
and you will receive instant notification of studio closings.
Tuition Policies:
* There is
an annual registration fee of $25 for new students ($20 for returning
students), which is non-refundable and ensures the student's space in
class. This does not apply to drop-ins, summer sessions, summer camps,
or Zumba class cards.
* Tuition for core classes is based on a yearly rate and is broken down monthly for your convenience. Therefore, full tuition is due by the first class of each month from September through May with tuition for the first and last month's tuition (September & May) due prior to the first class. Student/parent must notify the studio in writing if discontinuing classes; otherwise, tuition fees will apply.
*Adults who wish to drop-in more than two times per class, per month will be asked to pay the monthly tuition for that class.
* A 10% discount is offered for the 2nd and 3rd student within an immediate family (parents and siblings) for registered classes and dance camps. Zumba & Zumba Toning Fitness classes are excluded.
* Make checks payable to "A Step Ahead Dance Center." A $25 charge is placed on all returned checks. If an account has 2 returned checks, only cash will be accepted for payment on that account. We cannot accept or hold postdated checks. We do not currently accept credit cards.
* If an account is 2 months delinquent in tuition, the student will not be allowed to take class until the account is paid in full. Remember, tuition is due the 1st class of the month; therefore, if it is not paid by that class, it is considered delinquent.
* No refunds are given for early withdrawal, absences, or weather-related closings. Make-up classes are recommended if possible and should be arranged with the appropriate instructors.
* Students must be registered for a class in order to perform. Additionally, students must have at least 80% attendance in order to perform.
*By paying the costume deposit of $25 per performance costume, you are confirming that the student will perform in the shows and you are responsible for costume balances. Costume fees are non-refundable A $12 rehearsal fee per class is due along with the costume deposit.
* Lateness is not tolerated. A student who is late may be denied entry to class by the instructor.
* Only students registered for classes will be allowed in the dance rooms during classtimes.
